Pennsylvania District Needed a Smarter, Centralized Approach for Paraprofessional Workforce Management

The Rundown

BlazerWorks’ centralized vendor management model enabled the district to simplify paraprofessional staffing, eliminate complexity, and ensure consistent support for their high-need roles.

Our Partner

Our partner is a well-respected school district in Pennsylvania serving approximately 2,800 students.

The Challenge

Our client was facing a particular challenge of ongoing and high-volume needs for paraprofessionals. Historically, the district relied on multiple staffing agencies, but still had significant vacancies, resulting in fragmented communication and inconsistent services for their students. With a growing demand for support staff, particularly in Pennsylvania, where paraprofessional shortages are common, the district needed a more strategic and reliable solution with decreased administrative burden for their internal staff.

Our Solution

BlazerWorks implemented a customized Managed Service Provider (MSP) program that simplified the district’s contract staffing experience – centralizing communication, ensuring the right staffing agencies were in place to fill vacant roles, and streamlining administrative tasks. Rather than navigating a maze of contacts with different agencies, the district gained a single point of contact, streamlining workflows, eliminating administrative burdens, and aligning their needs with staffing agencies who could fill all of their roles.

Understanding the many nuanced demands of paraprofessional staffing, our team delivered a high-touch, client-specific approach. We recognized early on that this account would require more intensive support, and our MSP model was designed to provide just that. Through consistent communication, proactive planning, and centralized coordination, our account manager was able to anticipate needs and offer solutions before challenges arose—whether by maintaining a sub pool of backup candidates or introducing flexible per-diem options tailored to the district’s evolving needs.
