Managing High-Volume Special Education Staffing Across 14 Districts with a Centralized MSP Model
The Rundown
Through a centralized MSP model and technology-enabled workflows, BlazerWorks helped a Pennsylvania multi-district IU achieve consistent staffing coverage and operational efficiency at scale
Our Partner
Our partner is a larger Intermediate Unit (IU) in Pennsylvania who educates over 27,000 students across 14 school districts in multiple counties.
The Challenge
Our client serves 14 school districts across Pennsylvania, each with their own specific staffing needs and challenges. Due to the size of each district and their number of open positions, our client was working with multiple staffing agencies to fill critical positions. Despite these efforts, many job orders remained unfilled, and the manual invoicing and timesheet processes added administrative strain to their internal team.
Our Solution
BlazerWorks was engaged as the district’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) and took over management of all staffing agencies, ensuring 100% fulfillment of critical roles, consolidating invoicing, and serving as a single point of contact for managing all of their contract staffing needs. From day one, our approach blended strategic operations with a personal touch. Our dedicated account manager built strong relationships through responsiveness and authenticity—earning trust and engagement across the IU.
By leveraging our extensive staffing partner network and leveraging our Vendor Management System (VMS), we filled longstanding vacancies quickly and efficiently. To date, we’ve managed over 1,000 placements, including paraprofessionals and behavioral specialists, while simplifying timesheet and invoice management through our school-based VMS technology and hands-on support.
