Get to Know Whitney
Whitney is an experienced former special education teacher, behavior specialist and special education coordinator focusing on educational instruction, support, and interventions in early childhood, autism, and behavior. In her role as a Special Education Advisor at BlazerWorks, Whitney is passionate about providing support and resources to all educational professionals to foster a growth mindset that will positively impact all students.
Whitney brings 18 years of experience working with students, special education teachers, general education teachers and administrators. She has extensive experience in application of best instructional practices, behavior support in the general education and special education classroom, creating a continuum of services, student placement, providing professional developments, teacher evaluation and observation, facilitating case conferences and communicating valuable information to educational teams and families regarding special education needs and services.
Whitney earned her Bachelor of Education in Teaching All Learners from Indiana University and Master of Education in Special Education with a concentration in Autism and Behavior from IUPUI. She has also been trained through NIET TAP as a Mentor teacher.
