Get to Know Scotti
Scotti is an experienced Special Educator who knows that relationships are the heart of teaching and instrumental in being an effective team member.
In her role as Special Education Advisor at BlazerWorks, Scotti is passionate about providing support and resources to educators to enable them to thrive in their educational settings and careers that empower all students in their educational experiences.
Scotti has over 23 years of classroom experience in roles that have included substitute teacher, paraprofessional, and self-contained classroom teacher. She has worked with all ages of students within a wide scope of special education eligibilities: intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders. She also has experience supporting young adults and adults in group home settings, as well as students with autism in camp settings. For the past 15 years, Scotti worked in a therapeutic day treatment/residential trauma-informed classroom educating students with emotional and mental health needs.
Scotti earned her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Eastern Illinois University and Master of Science in Special Education from Portland State University. She currently holds a Professional Teaching PreK-12 Special Education Generalist license in Oregon.
