Get to Know John

John is a passionate occupational therapy practitioner, specializing in assistive technology. As an Assistive Technology and COTA Advisor at BlazerWorks, John seeks to help therapists and other educators succeed while identifying students’ unique needs and implementing targeted solutions.

John brings over ten years of experience in school-based occupational therapy, while also implementing and maintaining assistive technology accommodations. He has also worked in clinic-based and medical settings. His mix of experience has granted him excellent perspective as he continues to learn and grow personally and professionally.

John earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine, his Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from Santa Ana College, and his Master of Science in Assistive Technology and Human Services from California State University, Northridge. He has been a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT) since 2012. He is also a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
