Get to Know Amy

Amy is a passionate pediatric occupational therapist who specializes in childhood development, sensory processing and integration, executive functioning, and school-based practice. As an Occupational Therapy Advisor, Amy enjoys supporting professionals who are new to school-based practice and empowering practitioners to advocate for their roles, expertise, and scope of practice within special education.

Amy brings 12 years of experience in clinical, early intervention, charter school, and public school settings and also worked as a Lead occupational therapist and OT/PT Coordinator. Throughout her career she has seen the value in meeting students at their current levels, capitalizing on their individual strengths, and building upon their skill sets to help them better access their educational programs.

Amy earned her Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine with a research emphasis studying executive functioning and academic success in students with unilateral hearing loss. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern Illinois University. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the Occupational Therapy Association of California.
